Zinc coating Since 01/07/2007 the European Regulation 2000/53/EC imposes strict limitations regarding the use of compounds made of Chrome VI (compounds currently used in zinc-coating of fittings, adapters and other articles which require it).     VEBA group zinc-coating treatment includes a passivation step, which consists in the creation which will protect the zinc-coating deposited on the base metal. This will guarantee a very high resistance to corrosion and a better appearance. The new Chrome III treatment, according to 2002/95/CE RoHS (Restriction of the Use of certain Hazardous Substances) enables a further improvement of the high quality standard, a lower environmental impact and better results in terms of endurance.     VEBAgroup's fittings have:   protection coat with minimal thickness ranging from 8μm to 12μm. white platinum colour with some iridescence.   The sigillants are:   Finigard system Zink Protector system   According to our internal test made by our salt spray machine, we registered those results:   Resistance  to white corrosion: 168 hours. Resistance to red corrosion: more than 600 hours.
